It has been a long and sometimes painful process, but I could not be more pleased with how the final budget turned out. I’ve worked hard on many things in my time on the Board, but never harder than working on the 2010-11 budget. Check my post on my Views on Schools blog site for more details, but in summary I think this budget and our financial condition marks the beginning of a new day for the Grosse Pointe Public School System. With a solid financial foundation, I am eager now to focus aggressively on the main thing, as Suzanne Klein often says, teaching and learning.
