Thanks for visiting my website. I write most commonly about educational and educational finance issues for the Grosse Pointe Public School System and the State of Michigan.
I formerly served as a trustee of the Grosse Pointe Public School System Board of Education from 2005 to 2013. Grosse Pointe (G.P.) is how residents collectively refer to the cities of G.P. Park, G.P. City, G.P. Farms, G.P. Woods and G.P. Shores. These are upper middle class suburbs bordering Detroit’s East Side.
Mostly what I do is serve as Chief Information Officer of MSX International, a business process outsourcing company serving primarily the global automotive industry with headquarters in Detroit and global sales revenue of $500 million.
I am a lifelong resident of Grosse Pointe and graduated from Grosse Pointe South High School (‘86). I graduated from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor from the College of Literature, Science and Arts with a B.A. in English. I also received a secondary school teaching certificate in English and Latin.
I am a resident of Grosse Pointe Park and have three children who are, or once (depending on how frequently I update this page) attend the GPPSS.
I am proud of the Grosse Pointe Public School System, but feel like any organization it can always get better. I maintain this blog because I care about it.
